Sungai Kampar is located at Teluk Meranti village, north east of Pekanbaru sea. What is unique in this place is that although it is a river, many people also use it to surf. In here, the tidal waves--"Bono", as they are called by the locals--is passing through with the speed up to 40 km/hours, with height that can grow as high as 4 to 6 meters. Prospective guests are cautioned to be more careful since wildlife can also appear throughout the river, although for the more adventurous souls such matters can make things even more exciting.

The Siak Sri Indrapura castle is one of the most famous relics of Siak Kingdom, one of the largest historical kingdoms in Riau. Located not far from the center of Pekanbaru, this castle is a definitive choice for a place that you cannot mniss during your visit to Pekanbaru. In here, visitors can observe various objects of rich historical value such as various tools, jewelries, and even objects that are more grandiose in nature such as the bronze statue of Queen Wilhelmina and the statue of Sultan Syarif Hasyim I that was made from marbles and diamond embroidery, or an ancient musical instrument as old as 200 years old.
